SPOKANE, Wash. — This beautiful weather is bringing everybody out of hibernation, including an adorable river otter caught sunbathing on the Spokane River this week.
KXLY’s Jordan Smith went searching for this illusive otter Friday afternoon, knowing it would be an uphill battle.
After half an hour of dead ends, community members stepped into help.
“We gotta find that otter don’t we?” exclaimed Miles.
Others in Riverfront Park didn’t even have the otter on their radar.
Musician Jack Brash was inspired by the nice weather to break out a guitar and give people a show.
“I just came out there hoping to make people have a good day,” Brash said.
Many others shared in beautiful moments and beautiful weather.
“We’re here to celebrate our 50th anniversary,” said Ed and Maryanee.
While the search for Ollivander the river otter came up empty, it was amazing to see what a little sunshine could do.
