PULLMAN, WA — Pullman Police Chief Jake Opgenorth resigned Friday afternoon, with his resignation taking effect immediately.
Opgenorth, who served as chief since August 2022, had been on administrative leave since December 17, 2024, amid allegations of sexual assault and harassment.
Opgenorth’s former girlfriend filed a protection order against him in February, alleging harassment and sexual assault.
In court documents, she states she and Opgenorth had been in a relationship for several years.
