SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Surveillance video from a local restaurant caught the moments a deadly police pursuit and shootout came to end on Sunday morning.
On June 15, Washington law enforcement shot and killed a man in Spokane Valley accused of going on a carjacking spree and shooting and killing a man in State Line Village.
Stormin’ Norman’s Shipfaced Saloon near Pines and Trent captured the shootout between the suspect and law enforcement.
Marcie Bagby, the general manager, was working at the time.
“I opened the door. They told me there was shooting going on and to go back in. So, then I asked everybody in the bar to get down and lock the doors, but everybody ran to the window,” she said. “With stuff going on in the world right now, we just never know. Every day is different.”
As of Monday afternoon, neither the Spokane County Medical Examiner nor the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the murdered bystander or the suspect.
Spokane Police Department is leading the investigation into the incident.
SCSO said on Sunday there was no obvious motive for the suspect.
