PULLMAN, Wash. — Drivers should plan extra travel time along State Route 194 west of Pullman due to a washout under the roadway following a culvert failure.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, crews discovered the washout in the eastbound lane of State Route 194 near Hamilton Hill Road.
WSDOT has closed the eastbound lane until permanent repairs can be made.
State Route 194 is currently reduced to a single lane in the area with flaggers directing traffic until a temporary signal is installed.
There is no estimate for when permanent repairs can be made.
