DEER PARK, Wash. — Washington State Patrol is assisting Spokane County authorities following a motorcycle and semi-truck crash Thursday evening that left at least one person injured, according to Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred around 5:53 p.m. on Highway 2, approximately five miles southeast of Deer Park. Both northbound and southbound lanes were temporarily closed to allow a Life Flight medevac, WSP said.
Authorities told reporters that detours were in place, but the estimated time for reopening the highway was unknown.
The cause of the crash and whether drugs or alcohol were involved remain under investigation, WSP said.
