SPOKANE, Wash — Construction of a new, 88-unit apartment complex is underway in north Spokane.
The Cora Apartments are being built by the Avery Construction Group at 516 W. Cora Avenue.
The complex features four residential buildings and a central clubhouse.
The project has been in the works for three years. Avery Construction CFO Lexi Ivankovich said permitting issues out of the company’s control lead the delays.
Crews began working the land in January removing identified hazardous materials and clearing the site.
“It’s going to be one of our biggest builds so it’s going to be pretty exciting as a whole.” Said Ivankovich.
The apartments will be within walking distance of Spokane’s historic Corbin Park. The complex is right next to Faith Bible Church and will feature walking paths, community gardens and plenty of parking.
