SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Indians took down the Tri-City Dust Devils 11–9 on Tuesday night at Avista Stadium, pulling away late in a back-and-forth slugfest.
Spokane broke a tight game open in the eighth inning when Ethan Hedges launched a go-ahead three-run homer to swing momentum for good. The Indians’ offense stayed steady all night, with Tommy Hopfe and Kelvin Hidalgo each going deep.
Hidalgo finishing with four RBIs while Tevin Tucker reached base four times and scored three runs. Jack O’Dowd added two hits as part of a balanced attack.
The Tri-City team managed to stay in the game with their steady scoring, but they just couldn’t keep up with Spokane’s strong finish. Luckily for them, Loer came in and saved the day, getting the win in relief and helping the Indians hold on for the victory.
These two teams will face off again on Wednesday night at Avista Stadium, with the game getting underway at 6:35 p.m.
