COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Coeur d’Alene Fire Department and Coeur d’Alene Police Department responded to two fires within 20 minutes early Saturday morning according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
The first fire at 3:40 a.m. in an undeveloped wooded area in the 6500 block of N. Mineral Drive covered approximately 75 feet by 75 feet.
A second fire was reported at 4:00 a.m. in the 7600 block of N. Wheatfield Drive, less than a mile away. Firefighters found a home fully engulfed in flames. A neighboring residence also caught fire and sustained damage.
Coeur d’Alene Police Detectives and the Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating both incidents. Police are requesting video surveillance footage and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
