SPOKANE, Wash. — Inland Imaging officially opened the region’s first comprehensive breast center this morning.
The new facility at 799 South Stevens Street consolidates services that previously required patients to visit separate locations. Women can now access mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI, biopsies, risk assessments, and future genetic testing in a single, purpose-built space.
“For patients who are coming from outside Spokane … In the past we would maybe have to split up those appointments. Now we are able to do all of it in one place,” said Dr. Amy Henkel, Breast Section Chief at the center.
Inland Imaging designed the space with patient comfort in mind. Soft lighting, comfortable changing areas, and quiet consultation rooms create a calming environment. A dedicated patient navigator helps women navigate their care options and coordinate appointments.
“We want you to know we have got you every step of the way. With expert radiologists, technologists and staff,” said Jen Heimbigner, Chief Operations Officer for Inland Imaging.
Most screening mammograms at the center require no referral and can be scheduled within minutes, according to Inland Imaging. Appointments typically run under 30 minutes, and most are available at no cost under most insurance plans. Free off-street parking is available.
Inland Imaging’s existing mammography services at its Spokane and Tri-Cities locations will continue operating. The new center expands the network rather than replacing current services, allowing the organization to serve more women across the region.
