SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Part of Pines Road in Spokane Valley will be fully closed this week so crews can finish paving the new Pines Road alignment.
According to the city, the road will be fully closed between Mirabeau Parkway and East Trent Avenue beginning just after midnight on Wednesday, October 14.
The road is planned to reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday, October 19.
The city says this closure will allow construction crews to finish paving the new Pines Road alignment and create a new access point to Trent Elementary.
Drivers exiting or accessing Trent Avenue are urged to take University Road or Sullivan Road during the closure.
The city says traffic on Pines Road is expected to be switched to the new Pines Road alignment. This new alignment crosses beneath the railroad bridge and intersects with the new roundabout connecting Pines Road, Trent Avenue and Empire Way.
