SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’re looking for a chance to give back this Earth Day, why not come help clean the banks and bottom of the Spokane River?
Spokane Riverkeeper is hosting a free, family-friendly river cleanup on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at High Bridge Park.
Spokane Riverkeeper says each year, it organizes a river cleanup for Earth day to remove over 11 thousand pounds of trash from High Bridge and People’s Park.
PNW Espressgo and food trucks will be on site. There will also be tables from partnering organizations with learning materials and engaging activities.
All cleanup supplies are provided. Volunteers should wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather. Don’t forget your sunscreen and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while you work!
