COLFAX, Wash. — Firefighters are responding to a fire north of Albion in Whitman County.
According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, there are currently no evacuations in place, but people living in the area should be ready to leave if necessary.
The fire has been moving quickly due to high winds. Crews are working to keep the fire from spreading into nearby timber.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking everyone to please avoid the area and allow crews space to work safely.
