SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga women’s basketball welcomed fans to the McCarthey Athletic Center on Saturday for Numerica Fan Fest ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The Bulldogs split into two teams for a scrimmage, with Team White defeating Team Navy 42-30.
Lauren Whittaker led Team White with 12 points. Inês Bettencourt added 10 points while Teryn Gardner chipped in nine.
Zeryhia Aokuso led Team Navy with five points.
The event also featured a three-point shooting contest. Allie Turner won the competition while Bettencourt fell in the semifinals.
Former UConn star and current Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd made a surprise appearance at the event. Fudd helped rebound for Bettencourt during the three-point contest.
Gonzaga returns 10 players from last season’s roster as head coach Lisa Fortier looks to build on the team’s experience and versatility.
The Bulldogs open their season Nov. 2 against North Dakota State. The matchup marks Gonzaga’s first game in its inaugural season in the Pac-12.
